First Shield

With the ever changing world we live in, active shooter situations are becoming a frequent occurrence within our communities. First Shield understands the importance of education and training to be best prepared for any critical incidents you may be faced with. While everyone knows to run, hide, and fight, not everyone knows how to respond having an advanced thought process. From prevention and preparation to what to expect during and after an attack, First Shield was designed to provide the necessary tools to ensure you are ready. Throughout this course, we will cover topics including Situational Awareness, how to recognize the early warning signs of potential violence, the planning and preparation process, the role and priorities of the police, and what to expect during and after an attack. Instructor: Retired Police Sergeant John Bates, has over 35 years combined Law Enforcement and Corporate Security experience. Retiring in 2015 from North Fayette Police Department after 32 years and returning to work as an Account Manager at Allied Universal Security for PNC Bank, John is dedicated to training individuals and organizations on proactive and reactive tools to maximize the chances of survival during a potential attack.
