Fotohane Darkroom

Fotohane Darkroom is a non-profit organization founded in 2024 in Mardin, offering free analog photography education to local and refugee children and youth. Aiming to expand the artistic means of expression for Syrian, Iraqi, and Turkish children and youth living in the southeastern border regions of Turkey, Fotohane Darkroom provides training in photography and darkroom techniques, offering them a creative space to tell their own stories. Believing in the transformative power of art, the organization strives to help children and young people make their voices heard. Through workshops, exhibitions, and art projects, Fotohane Darkroom enables them to document the world from their own perspectives.
