Freshbag is a digital procurement platform connecting thousands of local suppliers to the informal food economy through its fair and reliable disruptive supply network. Freshbag also provides key support services : Procurement, Logistics and Microcredits to help thousand of Informal Food businesses thrive across Africa. The African food supply chain rely on millions of street vendors from the informal sector doing the heavy lifting and working more than 10hr/day. In Cameroon, their community is represented by more than 2 millions individuals, whom despite contributing for up to 80% to the food distribution and 60% of the GDP, live in poverty, making less than USD5/day and are often unable to provide for their families basic needs and education. We are on a mission to help 100 thousand street vendors thrive across Africa in the next 5 years.
