Gai Stefano Studio
Stefano Gai is a young photographer born in Brazil and active between Turin, Milan and Paris. When he was 18 he realized that the traditional school studies weren't leading him to develop his artistic needs. He started looking for his own artistic way. He attended IED in Milan, while working in Turin as a retoucher on various projects for a number of agencies. His enthusiasm and willingness to meet different realities has taken him to diverse experiences in various places. He has made the quest of new paths into the key to read his photography. His soul searching is expressed by his aesthetic traits and themes. A romantic depth and the search for the sublime are often lost in melancholy dark tones. Sadness and vague feelings melt up and convey a sense of inner gaze, absence of weight and stillness as suspended in a timeless dimension. Currently he is working as a fashion photographer and retoucher in Paris and Turin, where in 2014 he opened his own studio. Those two cities have been the places for his exhibitions: 2016- Off Gallery, Turin; 2015 - Boon Studios, Paris; 2014 - Un Certain Regard, Turin.
