Gender Links Lesotho

Gender Links Lesotho (GLL) is a national chapter of Gender Links, a leading Southern African NGO working to promote gender equality, justice, and inclusive development. GLL is committed to transforming gender norms, advancing women’s rights, and building communities free from gender-based violence (GBV). Through partnerships with government, civil society, faith-based organisations, the private sector, and grassroots movements, we deliver programmes that strengthen laws and policies, enhance access to services, and empower women, girls, LGBTQI+ communities, and other marginalised groups. Our key areas of focus include: Ending GBV through evidence-based research, advocacy, and survivor-centred programming. Strengthening Democracy & Governance by promoting women’s leadership and civic participation. Advancing SRHR and Social Justice to ensure inclusive protection and equitable access to rights. Capacity Building & Knowledge Generation that supports grassroots organisations and informs national policy. GLL is currently leading the EU-supported “Local Action for Gender Justice in Lesotho” project, including the upcoming National GBV Indicator Study, in partnership with the Bureau of Statistics and the Department of Gender. Our vision is a Lesotho where women and men, girls and boys, and people of all identities have equal voice, choice, and control in shaping a just and inclusive society.
