Deal Origination • Networking with the start-up, innovative disruptor and small company markets • Conduct business case reviews and initial discussions with founders & senior management • Prepare and review Pitch Decks for capturing the initial interest of investors Research & Due-diligence • Provide in-depth research into the product and services of a target company • Competitor analysis and assessment of market position • Investigate and validate business plans including financial models and report findings Business Plans & Strategy • Assist in the creation of business plans to attract the desired audience • Provide strategic guidance on the merits and flaws of a business plan • Assessment of a company’s ability to execute the business plan • Prepare or review Investment Memoranda for Investors Investor Engagement • Evaluate investor appetite, interests and requirements and so match the right investor with appropriate investments • Assist in the presentation of opportunities to investors • Progress investor interest through to completion of investment Valuation & Funding • Provide or review the valuation of the business at various stages of its development and funding rounds. • Provide guidance on the type of funding and the stage of the company’s development: seed capital through VC (Series A, B&C) • Assist in preparation of documentation for discussions with banks for the provision of loans and financial lenders for other forms of borrowing, such as asset finance or debtor finance.
