Green Rainbow World

Green Rainbow World is a group of projects and collectives that are independent while being connected and supporting one another. Respect for people and the planet, and building bridges is at the core of everything we do. We are working towards creating happier, healthier living and working conditions for people, in harmony with each other and the environment. We take care of our communities and mother nature simultaneously. When all of life’s basics are problems - no place to sleep, no job, no legal documents – it can be hard to imagine living life in a beautiful way, focusing on our personal and professional priorities, and becoming productive members of society. The traumas we’ve experienced as refugees, immigrants, LGBTQ, neurodiverse, or people facing mental health issues only compound life’s “regular” challenges. Rather than continue to struggle within a system that just doesn’t work. Our community members have chosen to create their own revolutionary universe that supports sustainability, family, and collective thriving. We’ve started in Athens, Greece—and we’re looking to change what’s possible for traditionally marginalized people worldwide. We are currently raising funds to purchase our first plot of land near Athens, Greece! The Eco Village will provide educational/community-building spaces, and food and natural remedies to other community organizations to distribute. It will also be managed in a way that is disaster and climate change resilient, captures carbon, recycles plastic, and increases biodiversity. We envision Green Rainbow Eco Villages and Community Art Collectives around the world, with many more inspired, empowered, and/or supported by us. We approach individual and community empowerment and well-being holistically. Consuming and producing in ways that are good for people and the planet. Holding art and creative expression as therapeutic, empowering, and inherently valuable. Building bonds and bridges in radically diverse communities.
