Hagar is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering survivors of human trafficking, slavery, and abuse. Our mission is to provide long-term, comprehensive support by helping survivors rebuild their lives and regain their dignity. We work to achieve this goal by providing access to education, healthcare, legal support, and other essential services. Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of survivors. At Hagar NZ, we believe that every person deserves to live a life free from exploitation and abuse. Hagar’s Program Offices in developing countries Cambodia, Vietnam and Afghanistan don’t have the capacity to internally raise the funds needed to pay for the services provided, so we raise money here in New Zealand, which we then send to each of our projects to support the work.
