The Heads Up Trainer is a Forced Learned training device that uses visual occlusion in the development of athletes to teach and commit to memory the proper techniques of receiving, handling or moving a sporting object (e.g. soccer ball) while visually scanning the playing field. This is a hard skill to learn, let alone master. Having this skill gives time for learning and executing decision making on and off the sporting object, builds self-confidence in playing the sport, enables the player to be a proactive versus reactive participant in the game.
