I have been teaching violence prevention and social justice for over twenty years. In that twenty years I have worked with survivors of violence and harassment, produced trainings for my team and other orgs, trained people to be better trainers and created policy and protocol for responding to harm. My experience working with survivors, writing policy, and creating prevention education have given me a unique perspective on how to create programs that are interactive, relevant, and change minds. I am adept at creating and presenting engaging trainings on many topics, including sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, sexual harassment, systems of oppression, victim-blaming, and bystander intervention. In those twenty plus years I have created dozens of educational programs and in all of them I incorporate the latest research, real-life scenarios, and facilitated dialogue to make participants think critically about their world. The task of teaching trainers and other educators is one I am honored and humbled to have. My “train the trainer” programs include coaching, best practices research on attitudinal change, effective presentations skills, and curriculum building and analysis. I use a values and strengths-based approach to make an educational experience that creates positive change. Whether live online or in-person, I utilize facilitated discussions with an emphasis on problem-solving and perspective-taking. My e-learning modules are dynamic, fast paced and keeps your team’s attention. Your values, their voices, and my curricula results in positive change for everyone. I want my audiences to leave understanding themselves and others better so that they contribute to making the world a less harmful, more equitable and empowering place for all. I give them actionable skills that help move them forward in their personal, academic, or professional goals.
