Representing Finland’s most innovative region, cities, universities, Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and research institutions in Brussels. Facilitating smart partnerships. Making an impact. The Helsinki EU Office has been a key EU advisor and advocate for Finnish actors in Brussels since 1996. The Helsinki EU Office is a joint EU office of Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council, universities of applied sciences, Finland’s largest cities, Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and two national research institutes. The Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council acts as the host organisation of the office. Our member organizations are the City of Helsinki, City of Espoo, City of Vantaa, Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council, Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, Natural Resources Institute Finland, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce. Our member organisations' LinkedIn group: In Brussels, Helsinki EU Office looks after its member organisations’ interests and promotes their visibility in different EU fora. The office also provides information regarding the preparation of EU legislation, EU funding programmes, events, co-operation, and networking opportunities. Helsinki EU Office actively follows European urban policy, cohesion policy, research and innovation policy, education policy, cultural policy, digital policy, health policy, transport policy as well as climate, environment and energy policy.
