Humaginarium promotes health with interactive entertainment. We make models, simulations, and games. Our games are conductors of authentic health and healthcare simulation: layered with mechanics of strategy, role-play, adventure, and puzzle; imbued with aesthetics of escapism and wish-fulfilling fantasy. The scientific simulations are powered by mathematical models of evidence-based determinants of health: somatic, psychosomatic, social, environmental, and institutional. Playing the simulations endows folks with skills known as constructive health competence: the autonomous ability to control and improve their own health, and to pursue patient-centered outcomes with a care team. Our prospective customers are adults who have or will develop a serious chronic illness; around 100 million people of all stripes in the United States. We endow them with medical self-efficacy, train them for a personal fight against health disparities and inequities; and perhaps most important of all, we give them a darn good time when they play.
