Hutan Harimau

Founded in Padang, Sumatra in 2024, Hutan Harimau was legitimated based on the Indonesian Ministry of Justice and Human Rights Act number: AHU-0013482.AH.01.04.Tahun 2024. Hutan is the Indonesian word for Forest and Harimau is the Indonesian word for Tiger. Hutan Harimau is the only organization focused exclusively on the conservation of wild Sumatran tigers and their rainforest habitats. Hutan Harimau’s mission is to function as the leading Sumatran tiger-focused organization. Hutan Harimau works in partnership with government agencies, local communities, universities, and non-governmental organizations to better research and conserve Sumatran tigers. Hutan Harimau’s vision is to maintain tiger populations, with a focus on the recovery of the species outside National Parks.
