lika plc (LON: IKA) is a specialist in the development and manufacturing of solid state batteries. The company has two product lines: Stereax micro batteries and Goliath large format batteries. Both of Ilika’s solid state batteries have high energy density, fast charge rates, long cycle and storage life as well as being safe and non-flammable. The innovative Stereax micro batteries are designed and manufactured for miniature medical devices and also Industrial IoT devices. Stereax battery technology offers compelling advantages over conventional lithium ion batteries, including smaller footprint, high energy density, non-toxic materials, faster charging, increased cycle life, low leakage and reduced flammability. Stereax solid state batteries are also customisable in shape and form, stackable and operational at high temperatures. Goliath is Ilika’s Wh-level solid state battery technology for electric vehicles and also cordless consumer electronics. Our cells are composed of an oxide solid electrolyte and a silicon anode which provide safety benefits in manufacture, storage and use. They can operate to higher temperatures than lithium ion, enabling a less complex battery management system and resulting in a higher cell to pack ratio, lighter vehicles, higher energy and power density, extended range and fast charging.
