INNOVMATER is a material-tech, research & technology (RT) company, established in early 2024. Our aim is to provide innovative solutions for more durable, resilient and sustainable concrete structures. Our technologies extend significantly the service-life and the operational efficiency of critical infrastructure (airports, ports, tunnels, bridges, dams, land development projects, etc), reducing at the same time maintenance requirements and costs. Thus, we preserve their economic value. INNOVMATER is a spin-off of the Greek National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSRD), founded by an intradisciplinary team of three researchers. INNOVMATER designs, develops and produces novel materials & metamaterials for self-healing & damage detection in concrete that are applicable upon construction, repair, and retrofitting phases. Our main technologies include: • Concrete admixtures for autonomous, self-repair of micro-cracks and rebar protection. Our inorganic concrete admixtures, based on IP-protected inorganic materials, expand significantly concrete durability between 30-40%(according to cement type used), prolonging the service-life of infrastructure by 30%. • Nanotech-based materials & high-end metamaterials, for structural health monitoring and damage detection, for disrupting the efficiency of preventive concrete maintenance.
