Institute For Advanced Studies In Basic Sciences, Zanjan

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), currently known as the University of Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences, is an advanced research centre and graduate-level degree-granting institution in Zanjan, Iran. It was founded in 1991 by Professor Yousef Sobouti, a world renowned scientist and one of the "Unforgettable Faces" in contemporary scientific and cultural Eminents of Iran. IASBS is currently ranked among the best universities in Iran and is a leading research centre. Specifically our scientist and students in the Physics and Mathematics departments are known to be in the top 1% of Iran. The university has been very successful in educating students and among our alumni there are many students and researchers employed at top international universities and entrepreneurs leading ideas both in Iran and abroad.
