Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS) is one of the three medical universities in Tehran, the capital of Iran. It began its mission in 1961 with establishing the School of Medicine.The university is basically government funded and its fundamental cornerstones include the Board of Trustees, chancellor, and the University Council. University Of Guilan
University of Guilan was founded in 1968 under the name of "Rasht School for Business". In 1977 council for higher education approved the school to continue its educational activities as University of Guilan in the framework of an agreement between Iran and former West Germany with the admission of 155 students in 9 fields of study. Currently, the University includes eight schools, over 450 staff and about students. Its research activities also expanded to an intentional campus and two field-oriented institutes.

Islamic Azad University Khorasgan (Isfahan) Branch located in the eastern zone of Isfahan, the cultural, and civilizational capital of Iran, was established in 1988. Payame Noor University - Pnu
Payame Noor University is a public university and one of the largest universities in Iran, with its headquarters based in Tehran, 31 provincial centers, 485 local study centers, other campuses all around the country, and one International Study Center located in the headquarters in Tehran. Established in 1988, is a legal body under the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. PNU took its first intake at 5 study fields at 28 local study centers. Babol Noshirvani University Of Technology
Noshirvani Institute of Technology was founded in 1970 by a great benevolent & honorable man and one of the greatest philanthropists of Iran, Late Seyed Hossein Fallah Noshirvani. The college is situated in Babol a city in Mazandaran Province in the north of Iran, 20 km south of the Caspian Sea The college is constructed on 11 hectares land and occupying 3 big buildings and 4 large & spacious workshop and laboratories blocks housing 4 Engineering departments. NIT is proud to have the biggest, huge, and spacious amphitheater in Mazandaran. It is well equipped with all facilities required (video projection, advance sound track system and lighting system) required for the local & national educational seminars and other regular college and local functions. The amphitheater is furnished with 750 comfortable seats (550 seats in the main hall and 200 seats in balcony). Adjacent to the amphitheater is an administration block housing Director’s & Deputy Director’s offices As of March 2008 it has been upgraded to the Babol (Noshirvani) University of Technology.

University Of Isfahan
University of Isfahan (UI)(Persian: دانشگاه اصفهان Dāneshgāh-e Esfāhān) is a state-operated university in Isfahan and among the top 10 comprehensive universities of Iran. The university is located in Azadi square of Isfahan. It has another campus in Khansar. University of Isfahan offers undergraduate degrees in 70 fields and graduate degrees in 55 areas. Students can study a wide variety of courses at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels full-time and part-time. The University has twelve faculties and forty-five departments, University of Isfahan includes more than five hundred full-time academic members. The student body consists of undergraduate students and 4,500 graduate students from thirty provinces. Undergraduate admission to University of Isfahan is limited to the top 10% of students who pass the national entrance examination administered yearly by the Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education. Islamic Azad University
The Islamic Azad University (IAU)(Persian: دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی, Dāneshgāh-e Āzād-e Eslāmi), commonly referred to as Azad University is the world's third largest private university system based in Iran. Headquartered in Tehran, Iran, the Islamic Azad University was founded in 1982 and established by Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, currently has an enrollment of 1.5 million students, making it the world's third largest. Azad University has over 300 branches across the country and also in other countries. It has branches and universities in U.A.E, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Lebanon and Armenia and has plans to establish more branch campuses in Malaysia, Canada, Afghanistan and Tajikistan in the near future. Islamic Azad University's activities quickly expanded throughout the country, so that today thousands of students are enrolling every year. Not relying on government funding, it receives charitable donations and charges tuition fees. The certificates issued by this university are recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Azad University admits students through the National Wide Entrance Examination held by the National (Iranian) Organization of Educational Testing.

Tehran University Of Medical Sciences
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) is the oldest and the most well-known medical center in IRAN. It is one of the country’s top research universities, accepts applications from the most qualified students, has the largest Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation, Allied Medical Sciences, Public Health, Nursing and Midwifery schools in the country, as well as over 100 specialized research centers such as Science and Technology in Medicine, Rheumatology, Auditory, Digestive Disease, Skin Diseases and Leprosy, Trauma, Hematology and Oncology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Reproductive Health, Urology, Immunology, and Asthma and Allergy. One of the many advantages of its size is that it can offer a wide range of courses. Admission to TUMS is granted without regard to age, race, color, religion, gender, handicap, or national origin. TUMS admits by field of study and degree, and when you apply, you must indicate your interest in a school and degree. Residency and Fellowship programs are also offered to international students. Study at TUMS is based on a semester schedule. The fall semester beings in September and ends in January. The spring semester begins in February and ends in June. Islamic Azad University, Science And Research Branch
November 1985 witnessed the establishment of one of the most important academic centers in the country, namely the Science and Research Branch of the Islamic Azad University (SRBIAU),tasked to enhance the youth education enabling them to specialize and be more efficient.Located in Tehran,the SRBIAU began activities with the enrolment of 250 students in humanities,engineering,basic sciences and agriculture. In relatively no time SRBIAU grew so fast that presently it is home to 16 faculties and 4 research – laboratory centers offering 334 disciplines at graduate and doctorate levels with a total of 15500 graduates. The SRBIAU academic staff includes 800 highly qualified full time and part time members as well as a visiting professors from amongst the notable personalities in the realm of science and research. The research and educational processes in the SRBIAU are in line with the provisions and enactment of the Islamic Azad University High Council of Planning and those of the Ministry of Science.Research and Technology. Activities of SRBIAU have brought considerable benefits to the country,including the establishment of research centers such as Gene Bank registration of a number of inventions by student body and conduct of several research projects. The graduate and PhD students of the SRBIAU along with the faculty members have so far published numerous papers in ISI journal paving the way for accomplishing and promoting the mission and vision of the university.

University Of Zanjan
University_of_Zanjan (ZNU) started its activities in 1975, on a formal basis. In December 1975, as ratified by the state council a land (with an area of 400 hectares) was dedicated by the Forestry Organization to ZNU for the purpose of educational as well as developmental and physical activities. On Feb 20, 1976 Zanjan higher school for Agriculture & Animal Science started its work under new title Zanjan Agriculture & Animal Science College while it enhanced it's Agriculture & Animal Science Courses to a BS. Level. Regarding the Council for the Expansion of Higher Education agreement (April 25,1987) on enrolling students in the Engineering college, The council agreed to alter the Zanjan A & AS college title to the center for higher education on May 8, 1987.(Including Engineering and Agriculture colleges). Following this the science and humanities colleges were established in 1990 & 1991, respectively.

Iran University Of Medical Sciences
IUMS operates six schools, two centers, two institutes, thirteen teaching and fifteen non-teaching hospitals in Tehran. On 29 October 2010, it was merged with Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The university was disbanded on 30 October 2010. However, on 8 April 2013, the Health Ministry announced that the university will be held up again.

University Of Jiroft
The University of Jiroft was originally started as a Technical Institute of Agriculture in 1989, under supervision of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. Subsequently, in 1997 it was developed to the Faculty of Agriculture and later on, it was expanded as The Faculty Complex of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Finally, in line with the particular attention of the government to higher education and scientific research around the country, and according to the all-round development of the southern province of Kerman as well as prospect of the use of high capacity and potential of the Jiroft city, on 22nd February 2009, the Faculty Complex developed to the University of Jiroft. The academic activity of this university was independently began with two Faculties viz. Agriculture and Natural Resources, however currently is has been fundamentally expanded and became a well known university in the south of country. The university is located 8 km far away from the city center and, occupies nearly 210 hectares of prime land. University of Jiroft offers a verity of Bachelor degrees in a wide spectrum of disciplines, as well as seven Master’s degree programs. The research laboratories at the university are well equipped and a major program for modernizing laboratories is currently underway. In the near future, the university will also commit to offer doctoral program in the area of agriculture science.

PGU is one of the greatest university in the south of Iran. It is located in the coastal city of Bushehr. Shahid Chamran University Of Ahvaz Jundi Shapur
After Shapur the First, the Sassanid King, conquered the Roman Emperor, commanded the Roman POWs to build a new town in a location that was 18 Kilometers South-East the present Dezful city. That town was called Gondi Shapur (meaning the city of Shapur), was a focal point for scientists and acedemics. In the 5th century A.D, a university and a hospital were established in Gondi Shapur that were functional up to 3rd century A.H. After 15 centuries, in 1955 (1334 A. H.), the first nucleus of rebirth of Gondi Shapur University in the modern era was set by establishment of a college of Agriculture in Ahvaz. This college grew up to be one of the most important institutions of its kind in the country. Other colleges and schools were established thereafter, and the university, now named Jundi Shapur University, expanded rapidly. In 1969 the School of Agriculture was recognised as the best school of its kind in Middle East countries. In 1982 the university was renamed after martyrdom of Dr Chamran, the date commander in chief of a group of a guerrilla battalion, that was based in Jundi Shapur University campus in the war between Iraq and Iran. The university was closed in those days due to war conditions in the area.
