The Institute for Performance Management (Institute) was established in 2004 to address the specific need in South Africa to: Advise on strategic management systems Train in strategic performance management systems Develop and implement strategic performance management and measurement systems Align SDBIP’s (Service Delivery Budget Implementation Plan) processes with the purpose of optimising organisational and individual performance The Institute has identified the specific need for a think-tank for performance management advisory service systems in South Africa whereby a true performance management culture can be established and recommendations can be provided in this new, specialised field in South Africa.
