Everyone's a leader now. But not everyone has leadership skills. People successfully move up the hierarchy rank fast these days, and from what I've seen most people do not receive any training around what's required to be a great leader. People expect to move up from being really good at what they do, to leading others without any understanding of how team dynamics play up. And suddenly, a successful individual can be hit with the 'imposter syndrome', feeling inadequate, reduced confidence and self-esteem to name a few. Multiply this with additional challenges such as replacing a much-loved manager, or having to lead on a project no one buys in to, or leading organisational merge which half of the team members wants to see failing; and voila - a total meltdown! What happens when those challenges start to play up in the team and to no surprise - the blame is always on you as the catalyst for the unwanted change. Here I am. A certified Organisational Relationship System Coach (ORSC™) and a Certified Positive Intelligence™ Coach (CPQC) who specializes in helping leaders and managers have their team buy in to the concept that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Having worked in mental health services in the National Health Service for nearly 20 years, I have seen and worked first hand with systems for many years. Over time, I have become more curious about my observation and understanding that working with an individual is limited in the context of systems (organisations, families, a system meaning that there is a relationship with another person). I bring a wealth of psychological knowledge embedded but not inclusive to systemic models and I'm proud to not only hold on to theoretical framework of understanding system development; but also offer accessible and tangible practical tools to leader and organisation who wants to see the better side to their team.
