Ion Kinetics Llc
Ion Kinetics LLC was founded in 2014 to design and build biomimetic actuators for self-propelled devices such as human-assist prosthetics and robotics. Biomimetic materials operate similar to muscles, and are activated by small amounts of heat or chemical changes, much like a life-based muscle. The resulting motion is inherently silent, smooth, impact-free, and produces high torque (greater than 1 Nm/100g) on a 1s to 10s cycle with little or no backlash. Our actuators operate autonomously, using an Arduino microprocessor platform that provides flexibility and low cost.
