Isla De Gar

We are a contemporary slow fashion handbag brand, with artistry at the heart of the products we create. Founded in the summer of 2020 by Emma Garner, the first bag was purchased in October of that year. Isla de Gar embodies joy, togetherness, warmth and humanity. The pieces are sculptural, tactile, malleable works of art that wouldn’t look out of place on a gallery plinth. These attributes invite the wearer to be transported to their own idyllic place, where art is to be worn and happiness is infinite. Our bags are all handmade to order in our London studio. In over 2 years since the Hive was first created, further designs have been added to the collection including the Cocoon, Nest and Squid, all inspired by the natural world.
