Isla Internships Abroad

Isla provides internships abroad as well as study tour opportunities for students in collaboration with our partner communities and organizations in Bulgaria, Kosovo, Spain, India, and Uganda. Isla Internships build upon the organizational capacity-building work of our local partner organizations in developing countries by placing university undergraduates, graduate students, and entry-level professionals in career-launching global development internships. Isla immerses participants in substantive projects with non-governmental organizations, social enterprises, and other institutions working in one or more of the following sectors or career fields: Agriculture & Permaculture Arts, Culture, & Social Impact Business & Entrepreneurship Democracy & Governance Education Environment & Wildlife Conservation Global Health & Medicine Youth & Sports Isla participants gain on-the-job training and improve their skills while helping their host organization's capacity to serve their beneficiaries and communities and improve operations and outcomes. Placing talented people inside purposeful partner organizations, Isla hopes to create opportunities for greater global understanding, cooperation, and community service.
