As a working artist and art facilitator in nonprofits and young adult/adult education, I’ve come to the conclusion that anyone with the desire to create, can. Sometimes it just requires a little coaching, adequate tools, and the interest and willingness to explore without self-judgment. I also truly believe that creating can heal and help us deal with feelings or trauma that might be holding us back. I want to provide these kinds of spaces and opportunities to you. I’ve been a casual artist since young adulthood and a working artist on and off throughout my adult life. I’ve learned lots of tips and tricks to creating art that makes me and others happy. I’ve also faced many “how do I get started” and “I’m not sure I can do that” moments and found myself on the other side of them with newly learned skills and confidence. Let’s work together to build a vibrant, creative community that lifts up other humans and their need to create.
