What is JOGA? JOGA is a functional movement system with the benefits of yoga combined with the biomechanics of sport, created specifically for an athletes body, and an athletic mindset. It is the governing body of yoga in sport. JOGA World The network of certified JOGA Coaches across North America that implement JOGA into various athletic regimes is currently over 400. These Coaches are training in sport and guiding thousands of athletes through JOGA practices daily ranging from Amateur sport, college, MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL. JOGA House The home of JOGA, located in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. A foundation where JOGA programs are developed, new products are created, innovation is inspired, and JOGA is practiced by the urban athlete. JOGA Was created by Jana Webb after studying the different styles of yoga, and obtaining her certification in Ishta Yoga (an individualized modality), she compilated the system of Ashtanga, the precision of Iyengar, the flow of Vini to create a personalized athletic practice: JOGA. Webb brought JOGA to the Calgary Stampeders where she coached Quarterback Henry Burris in his MVP year. Burris, credits much of his success that year to his JOGA practice. Since the first introduction into the professional athletic world, thousands of top athletes from multi-sport disciplines have practiced JOGA to enhance performance and/or prevent injury. JOGA has become a tool that is used by many health professionals as either a training/rehab methodology. The high demand for JOGA in athletic training led Webb to create a certification program that certifies wellness practitioners and health professionals like doctors, physiotherapists and kinesiologists to coach JOGA and understand how it relates to their work. There are over 400 certified JOGA Coaches across North America to date. This number continues to grow.
