Just Publishing Advice

Last century, before the terms blogging and self-publishing and the advent of e-books and print on demand paperbacks, and well before Amazon was even born, I was printing, hand binding and selling my own novels and books of mediocre poetry. But now, in a new century, my time is taken up by being an English teacher, author, writer and blog owner. My long-held interest in writing and publishing, as a means of freedom of expression rather than as an avenue to fame and instant riches, led me to blogging. I love it because it is real publishing at a grassroots level. I started Just Publishing as a personal blog in 2010. By 2015, visitor numbers were a few too many for my old site to handle, so a move to a new domain and an upgraded website became necessary. With the transfer, there was a slight change of name to Just Publishing Advice, which is a much better description of what this site is all about. The aim of my site is simple. I want to create a growing resource site for new and even not so new writers, authors, bloggers, content writers, book cover designers or for anyone else with an interest in writing and publishing. To bring different perspectives, I welcome guest writers who can share their knowledge and expertise in all areas related to writing, grammar, blogging, cover design or book formatting. On top of that, I never close comments on articles because comments continue to add value for site visitors. If my days are not full enough, I also have time to manage Whizbuzz Books, a book promotion site that has become a popular service for many Indie authors and small press publishers.
