Keep Georgia Tidy

NNLE Keep Georgia Tidy (KGT) is a Non-Entrepreneurial/Non-Commercial Legal Entity, founded in August 2018. KGT is a Georgian SCO operating organization in the country, covering all territories of Georgia, which is actively involved in environmental activities with the aim to improve the ecological condition of Georgia and its ecosystem. The project “Keep Georgia Tidy” initiated by the organization, covers various areas, the most important of which is to raise environmental education in the country and to transfer the knowledge into action (through various programs and action-orientated learning that will strengthen youth's involvement in changing sustainable world needs). In March 2020, the organization became an associated member of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), and local representative of the Eco-schools program in Georgia. Eco-Schools is an international program of sustainable schools, which involves up to 70 countries around the world and teaches, encourages young people to protect and care for the environment. The program starts in the classroom, then extends to the entire school and community, creating an ecologically healthy environment. The Eco-schools program is based on a seven-step methodology, the successful implementation of which will lead the school to the Green Flag Award and establish Georgian schools on the Global Eco-Schools map. With this program, pupils can create effective environmental policies for their schools, conduct cognitive activities using the acquired knowledge, which will ultimately have a significant impact on the environment.
