Gergili Llc

Gergili Ltd. is Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) consulting company. The services include preparation of full environmental documentation relevant to project development and implementation, preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in accordance with national and international standards, preparation of the Environmental Management Plans (EMP), Environmental Audit (EA), obtaining of the relevant permits and consents. The company has close cooperation with USAID contractors CHF and TetraTech. In coordination with these companies Gergili has developed and assisted in development obtaining of the Environmental Impact Assessments in accordance of the USAID regulations. Gergili organized field trips and collected all baseline data relevant for EA development, conducted public consultation meetings and finalized EA’s that were approved by US and Georgian government. One of the key contracts of the company was with Ashtrom International Ltd. and Papenburg/Black Sea Group. The purpose of the project was rehabilitation of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Road (funded by Millennium Challenge Corporation). Wasteless is a specific waste management association committed to helping companies transition toward more sustainable and environmentally conscious practices, while actively raising awareness about waste management throughout Georgia. The association is a non-profit legal entity that in 2022 obtained authorization from the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia to manage specific waste in four directions: waste oils, used tires, electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators.

Eco-Spectri

The international consultation and certification center Ltd. “Eco Spectri” was established in 2008 in Tbilisi. The company currently employs 10 fulltime staff and 37 long-term associate experts and consultants. The company implemented various large infrastructural projects funded by international financial institutions (WB, ADB, EBRD, EIB, etc.) both in Georgia and outside it, in 5 countries (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan). Batumi Raptor Count

Batumi Raptor Count (BRC) is a nature conservation NGO that works to monitor and conserve the birds of prey that migrate every year through the Batumi Bottleneck in the Republic of Georgia. Our main work focuses on organising annual raptor watch points in order to accurately record the migration; however, in response to the local hunting situation, BRC now also runs conservation programmes to reduce the hunting pressure on migratory raptors. BRC does not seek to condemn those who kill the migrating raptors, but rather hopes to increase the valuation of the raptors among local communities through education and by providing alternative economic opportunities. As part of this strategy BRC organises local homestays where western tourists can visit the area and witness the incredible sight of thousands of migrating raptors. This is eco-tourism in its purest form with income from the homestays going directly to the homeowners, i.e. those who may otherwise wish to kill the migratory raptors. Keep Georgia Tidy

NNLE Keep Georgia Tidy (KGT) is a Non-Entrepreneurial/Non-Commercial Legal Entity, founded in August 2018. KGT is a Georgian SCO operating organization in the country, covering all territories of Georgia, which is actively involved in environmental activities with the aim to improve the ecological condition of Georgia and its ecosystem. The project “Keep Georgia Tidy” initiated by the organization, covers various areas, the most important of which is to raise environmental education in the country and to transfer the knowledge into action (through various programs and action-orientated learning that will strengthen youth's involvement in changing sustainable world needs). In March 2020, the organization became an associated member of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), and local representative of the Eco-schools program in Georgia. Eco-Schools is an international program of sustainable schools, which involves up to 70 countries around the world and teaches, encourages young people to protect and care for the environment. The program starts in the classroom, then extends to the entire school and community, creating an ecologically healthy environment. The Eco-schools program is based on a seven-step methodology, the successful implementation of which will lead the school to the Green Flag Award and establish Georgian schools on the Global Eco-Schools map. With this program, pupils can create effective environmental policies for their schools, conduct cognitive activities using the acquired knowledge, which will ultimately have a significant impact on the environment.

Gavigudet We Are Suffocating

We are Suffocating (Gavigudet) is a civil movement that started in the spring of 2018 with the goal of improving the air quality in Rustavi. We live in Rustavi. Rustavi is an industrial city where we have to breathe bad or terrible quality air 280 days out of the year on average. Because the vast majority of manufacturing sites don't abide by the air protection requirements, they don't have dust collectors, filters or filtration systems, their manufacturing process and system of governmental oversight, management, and implementation designed to maintain standards are all in disarray, the penalties for non-compliance have been miniscule for quite some time and unproportional to the damage inflicted; there are not enough green areas in the city, and the population's level of awareness remains low.
