Kitsune Games is an inclusive indie video game development microstudio, lead by Emma 'Eniko' Maassen. Kitsune Games is set apart by its queer founder, and the aim to produce games that are as inclusive as possible. Entertainment producers have a responsibility to make the world a better place, and Kitsune Games strives to do so by offering quality entertainment that offers representation of people from all walks of life and backgrounds. The idea of Kitsune Games came in December 2012, while living in Japan. MidBoss - made for Ludum Dare - made a small splash among friends and other Ludum Dare developers, despite Emma having spent one of three days partying and staying up all night at karaoke. Seeing people enjoy the game cemented the decision to become a fulltime independent developer. After 15 years of making games, this came as a surprise to no one but Emma herself. In 2016 Kitsune Games LLC was created in the United States.
