We finance research and competence development at Sweden's colleges and new universities, when it takes place in collaboration with businesses. Co-production forms the basis of the KK foundation's work and pervades the projects and research and educational environments we finance. In short, co-production means that the projects that we finance must be designed and implemented in close collaboration between academia and business, and usually with co-financing from business that corresponds to the Knowledge foundation's funding. A requirement from us is that the projects must always be run in collaboration with business, as exchange between academia and business is crucial for Swedish competitiveness.
