Sva - Swedish Veterinary Agency
Swedish Veterinary Agency had the old name National Veterinary Institute until december 31st 2023. SVA is a national authority that strives for good animal and human health, a good environment and sustainable food production. The most important role of SVA, is to align the activities towards contagious and other serious infectious diseases of animals that imply a threat to supplies of animal foodstuffs, that lead to losses for the production of animals, that concern pets, or involve diseases that can be transferred to humans, i.e, zoonoses. Diagnostic capacity for the most feared contagious animal diseases is available at SVA. At present about a number of control programmes are being conducted in cooperation with animal owner organisations and the relevant authorities. Research and Development is of the utmost importance for solving the tasks facing the SVA in both long-term and short-term perspectives. Interaction between routine diagnostics and research makes it possible to develop new products and technologies for diagnosing contagious diseases in animals. An example of product development at SVA is the field of animals, where results are obtained immediately on-site. SVA also carries the overall responsibility for the availability of veterinary vaccines in Sweden. As far as possible, we keep a complete assortment in stock.

European Spallation Source Eric
The European Spallation Source, or ESS, is a state-of-the-art science facility being built in Lund, Sweden, by a collaboration of 13 European nations. Similar to a giant microscope, ESS will allow scientists to use neutrons to look deep inside materials to see where the atoms are and what they are doing. This can help them design new materials which could lead to better batteries, greener plastics, or stronger engineering materials. It could also help life science researchers develop new vaccines or more effective medicines. ESS is one of the largest science and technology infrastructure projects being built today. The facility design and construction include the most powerful linear proton accelerator ever built, a 4-tonne, helium-cooled tungsten target wheel, 15 state-of-the-art neutron instruments, a suite of laboratories, and a supercomputing data management and software development centre. In the context of its history and future as a scientific organisation, however, it is more than the sum of its parts: it is a brand new organisation, being built from the ground up. Our aim is to advance science so that future generations can thrive.#ChangeTheWorld.

Mavatar
Mavatar is a global leader in AI-powered precision medicine, built on more than 20 years of scientific innovation. While most life science AI projects start with generic models and try to adapt them to biology, Mavatar has done the opposite- designing its AI from the ground up for biomedical decision-making. At the core is DINA (Deep Integrated Network Analysis)—a proprietary vertical AI and data-driven framework trained on harmonized transcriptomic data across tissues, diseases, and populations. Unlike generative models or general-purpose tools, DINA is engineered specifically for reasoning within complex biological systems: understanding what happens, why it happens, and what happens if we intervene. This intelligence powers two commercial platforms- Mavatar Discovery – supporting the acceleration of drug discovery, repurposing, and trial design for pharma and researchers- Mavatar Precision – delivering real-time, personalized treatment guidance to clinicians based on patient-specific molecular profiles. By simulating digital twins of both patients and diseases, Mavatar enables predictive matching between disease mechanisms and therapies. As medicine shifts from one-size-fits-all to highly personalized care, Mavatar is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation and capture value across a multibillion-dollar global market.
