Lake Road Wines
A belief that premium wine begins with the finest of grapes, combined with a bold ambition, is what started Lake Road along the path to becoming an innovative wine producer. The Lake Road journey began with the first vines planted in 1975. Settled on the world’s eastern edge in Gisborne, New Zealand, our vines are the first in the world to see the sun. For three generations, the Blampied family have persevered and built on their expert knowledge of winegrowing, with an ongoing commitment to innovation and individuality. Today, brothers Steven and Andrew and their dedicated team manage the viticulture, winemaking operations, and sales operations at Lake Road Wines. Working alongside skilled vintners across New Zealand, our brief is a simple one - create iconic wines, that capture the abundant sunshine and the taste of the land we call home. And from the moment you taste them, a small part of you will feel at home here too. The result is our series of distinctive, award-winning wines including Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as our range of Pinots and full flavoured aromatics.
