Larkspur Consulting Inc.(LCI) is a consulting practice focused on the development of creative strategies to support the successful delivery of complex capital projects. LCI was established in 1990 and since that time has helped numerous organizations achieve their vision and goals. The firm is owned and operated by principals Lori Van Rooijen (Pii’Takii), BA, BEd, MLIS and Courtney Shearer, BSc, MBA, CMA, CPA who work with a small team of qualified employees and a broad range of experienced consultants across Western Canada. LCI works out of Calgary, and most of our project are in Alberta. LCI provides “owner representation” project management services for public and not-for-profit organizations who are planning and constructing a new facility. We specialize in strategic planning, facilitation, community development, business case development, project feasibility studies, financial modelling, project coordination, community consultation and stakeholder engagement, and fund development for public and private organizations. LCI works on projects that are highly complex involving stakeholders with diverse views and opinions. Our style is to work collaboratively to find opportunities, resolve issues and build consensus. In the last 10 years, our projects have included numerous large-scale, highly public projects. Our high-quality work is the result of our very experienced team. We come from various backgrounds, including education, community development, planning and engagement, financial modelling, business management, and architecture and design which gives us a breadth of perspectives across the entire project. We continue to ensure we are performing to industry best practices, through our industry contacts, research, and continuing education. We have a very positive relationship with all levels of government, through the delivery of our public good projects. To date, we have led or been a key team member on raising over $1.1 Billion for our clients and projects.
