Learning Curve is a STEAMD (Science Tech Engineering Art Math + Design) human capital accelerator. We teach participants how to make and monetize inventions that matter. Learning Curve's mission is to increase the social and economic mobility of under-represented populations in STEAMD and their communities through advancements in workplace diversity, impact investing and social innovation. 5 - Reasons for your to join Learning Curve's ecosystem of innovation: 1. Our Learning Model: We operate as an accelerator - we seek to make investments in human capital. We teach evidenced-based entrepreneurship ("lean start-up"), it allows us to reinforce and correlate the learning process to the scientific method. Investment Gap: We seek to increase the number of underrepresented "Founders" and teams in STEAMD. We seek to be part of the early stage of the pipeline, inspiring and exposing participants to the investment community. CTE Gap: We seek to innovate Career & Technical Education. We are instituting an Earn & Learn model for eligible participants. A participant should never have to pick between an opportunity to learn or earn money for their household. When possible our CTE high school students are eligible to earn wages above the minimum wage and gain valuable "work-based" learning experience with Learning Curve and our industry partners/employers. Art Art synthesizes and communicates this movement. Design Design - We teach human centered design. We believe that when you teach human centered design, the yield will be social innovation.
