Legalexcel Attorneys - A law firm of Advocates, Solicitors and Healthcare Consultants based out of Bengaluru was established in 2001. The firm initially handled litigation services involving hospitals and doctors as regards medical negligence liability, deficiency of service and statutory non-compliance. Thereafter, the firm commenced consultations as a major vertical and forayed into the extensive domain of Healthcare Law and Ethics. This domain entails diverse statutory and legal issues such as compliance for hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare startups and health technology entities. Amidst the above, the firm pioneered Continuing Medico-Legal and Nursing Legal Education (CMLE & CNLE) programs for the medical fraternity on a pan-India basis. The nature of services eventually broadened to include legal advice, contract-structuring, liaising, risk management practices coupled with litigation services before various courts, commissions and medical councils in the country, especially in New Delhi. The firm also initiated a service model by way of retainerships, thus rendering comprehensive legal services to a multitude of healthcare establishments. The domain of Healthcare Law is intricately linked to other legal areas including Commercial, Criminal, Property, Labour, Intellectual Property and Constitutional Laws. The firm's clientele reposed faith in its services and began to seek them in the foregoing areas. This has strengthened Legalexcel to conclude twenty years as a law firm. In the year. 2021, the firm was rechristened as Legalexcel Attorneys with a continued focus on Healthcare Law and expansion into other specialisations.
