Go big or go home” – that’s what my college pole vaulting coach used to say to motivate us into high-performing athletes. That sentiment – go all out and leave your biggest footprint – has evolved into “make the most of your time and your legacy." This is the inspiration for my consulting, training, and coaching business. Living a bigger life for leaders means extreme focus on vision, clear ideas, cultivating charisma and communication. Why should someone consider crossing the street to get to you, much less follow you? Answering that question leads to the real conversation - what is your contribution or living legacy? And how can you do it with simplicity and ease? For me, business and spirituality are two sides of the same coin. When you know yourself and your connection, your business flows. When you handle your business well, you have less distraction and more connection. When both are present, you have influence. My role is to help leaders build the bridges they need for greater impact in changing the world around them. Being a strategist for thought leaders, current and emerging, means uniting the pieces of their puzzle into a roadmap for accelerated clarity, visibility and results. It’s a sophisticated approach to influence – through power vs. force – and is indicated by empathy, positivity, collaboration and respect. Leaders who share knowledge, wisdom, and resources move from success to significance. They become ‘life maximizers’ while their own lives flourish. My work helping mission-driven leaders bring their lasting legacies to life inspires me daily to live on the growing edge of myself and business by asking the bigger questions.
