Local Ocean is the first Zero Discharge Recirculating Aquaculture System in its kind. The patented aerobic/anaerobic microbiology filtering technology allows the growth of freshwater and saltwater shellfish, fin-fish and algae in a completely closed water circuit, totally independent from natural sources of water with absolutely no generation of waste. The crop produced using this method is completely free from chemicals or heavy metals. This independence from water sources or climates allows the continuous production of fish grown locally. The fish is delivered within a 5-hour range of its production site, assuring freshness and reliable supply.
