Makus Empanadas is a Durham based company that focuses on bringing freshly baked Argentinian style empanadas to the Triangle area of North Carolina. Started by childhood friends Hernan, Ricky and Santiago, Makus Empanadas opened started as a catering business in 2014. In December 2015, it opened its first restaurant in South Durham, NC. In August 2018, it opened its second location at Morgan Street Food Hall, in downtown Raleigh. Makus Empanadas can also be found at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, PNC Arena, Kenan Stadium, and Duke Farmers Market.
