Media Concern Initiative

Media Concern Initiative (MediaCon) is a non-profit organization that specializes in sexual violence response, with a focus on the prevention of child sexual abuse. Our core work platform is centered around prevention interventions and crisis response support. At MediaCon, our mission is to uphold the ideals of preserving the innocence of childhood and the dignity of womanhood, with the ultimate goal of achieving a society that is free from the harms of sexually induced violence. These values guide our actions, interventions, and decision-making processes. Having been in operation for 25 years, we have redirected our attention towards consulting and offering training in capacity building for responding to child sexual abuse and gender-based violence. Our principal emphasis lies in developing responses using innovative media technologies. We also collaborate and partner with other entities to provide national and regional responses to child sexual abuse, sexual violence, and gender-based violence.
