Medstat V

The MEDSTAT regional programme has been the main instrument for the EU’s statistical support to Southern Neighbourhood countries since 1996. MEDSTAT’s 5th phase, supporting Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine* and Tunisia, was launched in January 2022 for a period of four years to consolidate and build on the work of previous phases, as well as to respond to EU’s new priorities and statistical developments. This account provides information on the MEDSTAT V programme, related activities, events, and statistical developments.
