Indian cotton agriculture is massively inefficient. Today, millions of Indian cotton farmers live below the poverty line, largely because their farm productivity is 70% lower than the productivity of farmers in more developed nations. Merry is a Harvard/MIT start-up looking to enter the $10 billion annual cotton agriculture market by building an agri-advisory app that will help Indian farmers double their farming income. The secret to our success is improving access to information - we help farmers share information and learn from each other to make smart crop decisions.
