Metropolitan Cemeteries Board

The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board is entrusted with caring for Western Australia’s most significant cemetery spaces, supporting communities across metropolitan Perth at some of life’s most meaningful moments. As a statutory authority of the WA Government, we manage cemeteries at Fremantle, Guildford, Karrakatta, Midland, Pinnaroo, Rockingham and Gnangara. We provide compassionate, dignified burial, cremation, memorialisation and chapel services, and strive to meet the needs of our diverse communities by respecting cultural, spiritual and personal traditions. Our role extends beyond service delivery. We help preserve WA's history, plan responsibly for future generations, and foster meaningful connections with the people we serve, ensuring our cemeteries remain places of remembrance, reflection and lasting legacy.
