Mey Sheva is a regional water and sewage corporation, established in 2007 by power of the water and sewage corporation law of 2001. It operates in the framework of the operational license granted to it by the Israel Water and Sewage Authority, which regulates its activity and oversees it on behalf of the State of Isael. The goal of the corporation is to provide water, remove and recycle sewage, handling both a high level of quality, credibility and efficiency while safeguarding the public health and the environment, and meetings the required service norms. The corporation, which is fully owned by the municipalities of Beer Sheva (88%) and Ofakim (12%) operates as an infrastructure company which specializes in the provision of water and sewage services to around consumers, including households in the cities of Beer Sheva and Ofakim. In addition, it supplies sewage services to local municipalities and additional entities in the region.
