Miner Mediation is a boutique dispute resolution practice handling exclusively employment mediations throughout Southern California. Ever expanding California and federal laws cover almost every aspect of the employment relationship, leading to seemingly endless disputes, especially with respect to the handling of an employee’s disability or pregnancy. Mediator Paul Miner, who blends compassion with candor, spent more than 15 years of his career representing both employers and employees in virtually every type of dispute with an emphasis on matters involving leaves of absence, accommodation issues, misclassification of exempt employees, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. He was able to experience firsthand just how costly and many times wasteful litigation can be for both sides. Eventually, Mr. Miner felt inspired to switch from a practice of crushing adversaries to one of purposeful dispute resolution. He enrolled in mediation training at the internationally recognized Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and launched a rewarding career as an employment mediator in September 2022. Since then, Mr. Miner has enjoyed a high success rate in effectively resolving disputes by bringing deep subject matter expertise along with the same level of intensive preparation, creativity, and persistence he was known for as a litigator.
