The design also prioritises environmental protection by eliminating the risk of marine life injury from blade strikes or acoustic disturbance. It can be deployed in run-of-river installations such as mill races, sluice gates, lock gates, and other settings where water naturally accelerates through narrowed channels. It is also well-suited to in-pipe outfalls and can be fully submerged with minor modifications.
