A Brief of Mofatama Energi The coal business began in 2012 with the establishment of PT. Mofatama Energi in the field of coal trading, both locally and for export. Seeing the excellent growth and development of the coal industry and the broad marketing prospects, the company began to expand its business in 2012 by acquiring a coal mining concession located in Satui, Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, covering an area of 41.5 hectares, with the aim of ensuring a stable coal supply to meet market demand. Subsequently, starting in 2013, the company acquired mining concessions in North Barito and East Barito, Central Kalimantan. PT. Arta Usaha Bahagia, holding an IUP OP of 3,211 hectares 2. PT. Arta Usaha Sarana, holding an IUP OP of 4,959 hectares 3. PT. Indo Besi Energi Utama, holding an IUP OP of 8,886 hectares These concessions were undertaken to increase coal reserves for the coming years, with current production running at 3 million MT per year and plans to increase the capacity according to demand. Mofatama Energi continues to grow and expand its business in the energy sector by acquiring the Buttu Batu 200 MW hydroelectric power plant (PLTA) project located in Enrekang, South Sulawesi. This PLTA will be operated by PT. Amera Terrasys Energi as a special purpose company (SPC) under Mofatama Energi. The Buttu Batu 200 MW PLTA is expected to start its commercial operation (COD/Commercial Operation Date) by the end of 2027. Mofatama Energi has added to its business portfolio in the electricity sector by acquiring the Tinauka 300 MW PLTA project. The Tinauka PLTA is located in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi, and North Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, and will be operated by PT. Tinauka Tirta Daya. Mofatama Energi has also taken over the Malimbu 120 MW PLTA located in Malimbu Village, Masamba District, North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province, which will be operated by PT. Purnama Tirta Energi.
