Mujer Al Pedal

We are women run initiative focused on improving gender equality and inclusion in the world of invention, creativity, and building. We teach welding, metal work, bike mechanics, and human powered machines to discuss larger concepts of overcoming fear and societal conditioning. Through the human powered machine made with recycled materials we prove that anything that can be found can be fixed or used and anything imagined can be created. We have made bicycle powered washing machines, blenders, water pumps, and washing machines, and always interested in experimenting more. We are mainly based in Nicaragua but are also internationally intertwined. Along side bicycle powered machines we also create sculptures and design objects and teach curly creative classes to expand the creative community wherever we are.
