Museum Arbeitswelt

Housed in two former factory buildings from the 19th century, our museum is not only the first labor museum in Austria but has also evolved into an internationally renowned exhibition and event center since its inception. We preserve, exhibit, and uphold the cultural memory of working people - from the onset of the Industrial Revolution to digitalization and beyond. The Museum Arbeitswelt has maintained this unique perspective for over 30 years. Additionally, the Museum Arbeitswelt offers rooms for conferences, events, and seminars. The carefully adapted spaces provide a distinctive ambiance, further enhanced by the CulturContainer on the museum's forecourt. Situated in the heart of the city, the classic factory ensemble seamlessly blends captivating (exhibition) themes, modern architecture, and historical identity.
