Northfield Church

At NorthField Church we exist to love God, love people, and make Jesus known. This comes from the very words of Jesus in Matthew 22:37-40,"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." and Matthew 28:18-19,"Then Jesus came to them and said,"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the way we love God is directly connected to the way we love people. Jesus said in Matthew 5:23-24,"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift." We take that to mean that it matters just as much to God how you treat people as to how you worship so we made it our mission to put just as much emphasis on the way that we love people as we put on worshipping God. Jesus' final words to His followers in Matthew 28 was not just another command, but it was the birth of a new movement. As Christ followers it is our mission to continue that movement of making the name of Jesus known in all of the earth. We want to make the name of Jesus known here in Sumner County and throughout the ends of the earth.
