New Product Development and Commercialization Management Research Center (NPDCM-RC) is a third generation academic institution specialized in New Product Design, Development and Commercialization. NPDCM-RC is a private institution under scientific supervision of Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and consists of four research groups including: 1. New Concept Design and Development 2. New Product Design 3. New Product Development and Commercialization 4. New Business Design and Development NPDCM-RC has assisted organizations understand and apply the concepts of new product development, re-align their business strategy to time-to-market practices, improve the product development process, implement supporting tools and systems, develop product strategy and plans, plan and launch projects, establish and facilitate integrated product teams, and support the definition and design of new products. NPDCM-RC also offers specific consulting expertise in related areas such as: Portfolio planning and management Project and resource planning Defining and improving the product development process Voice of the customer, product planning and requirements definition Design for manufacturability and serviceability Target costing and design to cost Commercialization management The mission of NPDCM-RC is to link the innovative ideas and capabilities of small-and medium-sized manufacturers with the knowledge and also technical expertise of universities and research centers.This collaboration allows for the development and commercialization of economically competitive new products and improves manufacturing practices that strengthen economies, create new and enhanced jobs, improve capital investment and increase tax base. Commercialization of many products, creation of more than five hundreds new jobs and also formation of more than ten knowledge-based companies are the main achievements of NPDCM-RC since its beginning in 2010.
