Nw Institute

Northwest Institute of Addictions Studies (NWIAS) is a non-profit organization established in 1974. We are comprised of an all volunteer working board of directors who are committed to helping professionals stay current with best practices in addiction treatment. Building on a rich history, NWIAS continues to connect addiction, mental health, and corrections professionals with the latest research and information. We provide nationally- and locally-known presenters at our annual summer conference in the Portland Metropolitan area. Mission Our mission is to encourage high standards of competence in the treatment of addictions by sponsoring top-quality, affordable educational programs to improve the skills and knowledge of practitioners in the field.
